By attending one of our Sponsored Schools you are sure to find certified McGown teachers who can guide you hooking your special piece.
The McGown Guild was created to bring together rug hookers new and experienced, who have an interest in learning more about this craft and appreciate rug hooking as an art.

Session 1: September 12-17, 2021
Session 2: September 19-24, 2021
The Country Inn Rug School will again be at the Woodbound Inn in Rindge, New Hampshire. It’s a lovely country setting along the shore of Lake Contoocook with a wonderful and well-lit space for a great hooking week.
Session 1 Teachers: Cherylyn Brubaker, Sarah Guilani, Betty McClentic and Diane Stoffel
Session 2 Teachers: Pam Bartlett, Lisa Chaloner, Ingrid Hieronimus and Kathy McPartlan
They are all excellent teachers and will be delighted to work with you on whatever you choose. Any designer’s patterns are welcome including your own original designs. They will color plan and dye for you or provide whatever information you need if you wish to do some or all your own dyeing. They will also be happy to work with ‘as is’ or recycled wools if you prefer. Our goal is to provide what you wish for this time together. We have also planned some exciting ‘after class’ special classes to entice you.
